Administration Officer

Administration Officer – 27.5 hours a week

Annual salary – £28,099 (pro rata £20,606)


This is an interesting and rewarding role working for Derby’s longest established housing charity as part of a small team responsible for the well-being of some 163 almshouse properties. We are looking for someone to deal with all customer enquiries and provide an effective administration support service for the Trust. You must also be able to work flexibly, as you will be required to take minutes at Board meetings, outside of core working hours, approximately seven times a year. You must have excellent communication skills, relate well to older people and hold NVQ Level 3 in Administration or equivalent qualification.

Your basic hours are Monday – Friday from 9.00 am to 3.00 pm with a half hour lunch break each day. You must have your own transport.

The successful applicant must be numerate, literate, familiar with Microsoft email, Word, Excel, Publisher and Access and be able to deal with sensitive situations and confidential information. Previous experience of working with older people is desirable.
